This one-day Emergency Paediatric First Aid course is ideal for anyone working with babies and young children who wants to gain essential, practical skills in child and infant basic life support. Designed to meet the needs of early years staff, childcare providers, and those in school or nursery settings, the course covers key topics such as CPR, the recovery position, choking, bleeding, and managing common childhood medical emergencies.
In line with the statutory Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, staff holding a Level 2 or 3 qualification (since 30 June 2016) must hold a valid Paediatric First Aid certificate within three months of starting work to be included in required staff-to-child ratios.
