Session 1 sets the stage for your leadership journey by exploring the core principles and expectations of subject and middle leadership. Through a mix of discussion, reflection, and real-world case studies, you’ll begin to define your leadership identity and understand the demands of the role. During this session, we will unpick the differences between leading and managing, and understand how both play a vital role in driving subject success. You will gain clarity on what’s expected of a subject leader, both in terms of day-to-day responsibilities and your wider contribution to school improvement and culture.
