    An Introduction to ACEs/Attachment & Trauma, Child Development and the Importance of Relationships

    This session introduces attachment theory and the vital role of emotionally available adults in supporting children. We will explore how family and social factors influence development, the impact of trauma and ACEs, and the importance of strong, consistent relationships. Key developmental theories, such as Maslow’s and Bronfenbrenner’s, are discussed alongside EMR (Emotionally Mentally Resilient) principles. The session also covers behavior triggers, the Breakwell Assault Cycle, and the value of pupil profiles in providing informed, consistent support.
