This session explores the vital role of Teaching Assistants, covering key responsibilities such as supporting learning, following planning, maintaining professionalism, and communicating with parents and staff. It emphasises setting high expectations, establishing routines, and understanding TA standards. The session also introduces Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), the SEND Code of Practice, types of special educational needs, and the TA’s role in supporting pupils and contributing to EHCP reviews.
